In White County Court news, only one individual pleaded guilty and was sentenced.
47-year-old Maranda Travelstead entered into a plea agreement with State’s Attorney Chris Neal. Travelstead pled guilty to her March 2026 case of Possession of Methamphetamine. She was ordered to serve two years of Conditional Discharge, pay restitution of $393.55, and enter into a long-term treatment center.
Travelstead saw two charges in the same case dismissed, Unlawful Use of Property and Meth Delivery. Two other cases were also dismissed under the plea agreement: a 2025 charge of Theft Deception and her most recent arrest for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.
She was released and will have her sentencing hearing on July 27 at 9 am.
