Three Plea Deals in White County Court Wednesday

In White County court Wednesday, 44-year-old Charles Scott agreed to a plea deal that will see him serve 2 years of conditional discharge.  Scott was arrested in February and charged with Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct.  On Wednesday, Scott agreed to plead guilty to the Disorderly Conduct charge while the Domestic Battery charge was dismissed.  He was also fined and the no contact order was vacated at the victim’s request according to online court documents.  Scott will be due for a review in November.

29-year-old Isaac Cooper also received a 2 years conditional discharge sentence Wednesday in White County court.  Cooper most recently was picked up at the end of April on a Failure to Appear warrant related to a March 23rd charge of Causing a Child to be Endangered.  In addition to court supervision, Cooper is facing a $250 fine and also was handed a 6 month stayed jail sentence.  He’s due for a review in November.

A Grayville woman arrested in March was given court supervision and had another charge dismissed as per a plea deal in White County court Wednesday.  48-year-old Sabrina Carter was picked up in Carmi in early March and initially faced a handful of charges.  Those charges were pared down to just two, Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Illegal Possession of Ammunition without a FOID card.  She agreed to a plea deal Wednesday that saw her take a guilty plea on the ammo charge while the weapon charge was dismissed.  Carter received 2 years of court supervision and a fine.
