It’s a bird, no it’s a plane…no it’s Superman….that and other lines will be top of everyone’s conversations in Metropolis this weekend as the annual Superman Celebration is underway.
The annual event got underway yesterday (Thursday) and continues through Sunday evening.
Celebrity guests this year include Helen Slater, who had the title role in the 1984 Supergirl movie and returned to the television series. She now has a recurring role as Supergirl’s adoptive mother on the CW series Supergirl.
Erica Durance will also be part of the festival. She is known for playing Lois Lane in the Smallville television series.
Katrina Law, who has a recurring role of Nyssa Al Ghul on CW’s Arrow series. She also starred in the Stars Network production of Spartacus.
Other events include the comedy of Andy Amlay this evening. Saturday night will feature the Jazz Patrol.
The annual costume parade will be held at 6:30 this (fri) evening. The weekend includes a supergirl and superboy pageant plus USA championship wrestling. There will be a giant car show Sunday.
