A pair of rural Enfield residents are out on pre-trial release following their arrest just before 9pm Tuesday. White County Sheriff’s officials say they observed 52-year-old Lige Cheek and 39-year-old Chelsey Smith getting out of a white Ford pickup at 203 East Hosick Street near Booth School in Enfield. The deputy says he knew both were wanted on White County warrants. Cheek’s warrant is for Criminal Trespass to a Residence with people present, Criminal Damage to Property, and Battery. Smith’s warrants were for charges of Criminal Trespass to a Residence with people present and Assault. The original alleged incident occurred on March 30th. Both were taken into custody, booked and processed at the White County Jail before being released. A first appearance for Cheek and Smith is set for the morning of May 27th before Judge T. Scott Webb.
