Small World at Wabash Valley College has incorporated gardening into its curriculum for the past three years. Children learn responsibility, a respect for living things, an awareness of nature, and much more. Small World invites families, grandparents, business owners, and community members of Wabash County to participate in their garden project on Thursday, April 20.
On Thursday, April 20, Small World is asking families, grandparents, business owners, and community members to donate and plant a perennial in their playground from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring 1 plant, 1 bag of topsoil, and 1 bag of red mulch! The plants will be a lasting legacy from those that participate and will provide educational opportunities to the children for years to come.
*Holes will be dug on Wednesday, April 19, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Volunteers and shovels welcomed!
