Rockin the Cure Two Tonight
Looking for a chance to get out of the house this evening but don’t want to worry about skipping out on Thanksgiving eve chores.
Well, Rockin the Cure Two, will help alleviate any guilt as you can get out of the house and help raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s hospital at the same time.
Josh Cronin and Chad Baxley, who have been raising money for the fight against childhood cancers for several years are coordinating a special night at the Carmi Elks that will feature the rocking blues sound of Boscoe France, a talented guitar slinger that is making a name for himself in the blues genre.
France will headline tonight’s entertainment as he takes the stage at the Elks around 8 p.m. Six to Midnight will open for France, providing a set of music prior to France’s portion of the show.
Baxley praised St. Jude’s mission, explaining that when Danny Thomas first started the children’s research hospital, survivor rates were about 20 percent, but up to 80 percent today.
Doors open at 5 at the Elks. The kitchen and bar will be open. The evening will include a silent auction featuring several impressive items, raffles and giveaways; all to raise money for St. Judes; with all the proceeds going to St. Judes.
