Recycling Event

The City of Carmi will host an electronics recycling event for Carmi and White County residents on Saturday, September 25, from 9am -12pm at 520 North 3rd Street.

Due to Covid-19 CJD E-Cycling is requiring the following safety procedures.

Materials to be recycled must be in the hatchback are or trunk of the vehicle. Items placed in passenger seats or back seats will not be accepted.

You will remain in the vehicle with windows up and their workers will unload for you.

You will unlock/open the trunk from inside the vehicle to allow worker to unload.

You must wear a mask. If you have to communicate with the event worker you must have a mask on.

All small loose electronics, cables, cords, remotes, etc. must be bagged and tied closed.

Please be patient with the event staff as the line will be moving a bit slower than normal in order to assure an appropriate spacing between workers.

If you are not comfortable with allowing CJD E-Cycling workers to unload the recyclable material from your car (the truck or hatchback area) then please do not attend this event.

If you are under quarantine or isolation protocol you are not allowed to attend the event. If you have Covid-19 in your household, you must be symptom free for at least two weeks before delivering your electronics to recycling drop-off event. If you are experiencing Covid symptoms don not attend.
