The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
02/13/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 42 year old Roger A. Gladish of Princeton after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Pecan Avenue. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Gladish was driving on a suspended driver’s license. During the traffic stop police located drug paraphernalia and suspected cannabis. Police found burnt foil inside the coat of Gladish which is consistent with methamphetamine use. The foil has been sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for further analysis. Gladish was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while his license is suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
02/13/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 53 year old Alvin Addison of Mt. Carmel after he was observed violating an order of protection. Addison was observed by the arresting officer walking out of Lucy’s Place. Police arrested Addison for the violation and during the arrest police found suspected cannabis on his person. Addison was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with the violation of order of protection and a violation of bail bond. Addison was given a citation for the possession of cannabis.
02/14/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Gavin Roberts of Mt. Carmel on a charge of criminal trespass to a residence and criminal damage to property. At approximately 3:30 pm, Mt. Carmel Police were notified of a male subject running through the backyard of homes in the area of Michael Avenue. A caller advised the male subject was acting strange and had thrown his coat in a dumpster along the roadway. Police then received a call that a male subject had tried to enter the back of a residence on Lisa Lane. The subject was stopped when confronted by the home owner. Police were told the male subject then ran south from the Lisa Lane residence. Police located Roberts in the 1200 block of Plum Street. The homeowner on Lisa Lane identified Roberts as the person on their back porch. Police located the coat Roberts was said to be wearing along with a ski mask and a glove. Roberts was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he is being held pending the posting of bond. Police were assisted by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office.
02/14/2018-A domestic dispute resulted in two individuals being arrested on drug charges. Mt. Carmel Police were called to the 400 block of Cedar Street reference a domestic situation. MCPD Officers arrived on scene and located narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside of the residence. Police arrested 30 year old Heather M. Hall and 29 year old Thomas E. Fugate of Mt. Carmel. Both subjects were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. Hall and Fugate were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were held pending the posting of bond.
