46-year-old George Hirschl is back behind bars in the White County Jail following a warrant issued for his arrest. McLeansboro Police arrested Hirschl Thursday for allegedly violating the terms of his pretrial release. On April 18th, authorities arrested Hirschl following an incident at McLeansboro’s Kids Kingdom playground in which a Carmi woman says Hirschl pulled a knife on their group. He has been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint, Battery, and Aggravated Assault. Hirschl will remain behind bars pending his next court proceeding. He was due for a preliminary hearing on May 20th. A sanctions hearing has been scheduled for Monday, May 11th.
