WROY/WRUL Local Sports Recap – 10/02/2025
The Carmi-White County Boys Golf team traveled to Green Hills Golf Course in Mt. Vernon yesterday for the IHSA 1A Regionals, and the Bulldogs finished in 6th Place with a team score of 331.
Jordan Tomassetti shot a 98.
Cayden Holloman shot a 91.
Gabe Winkleman shot an 89.
Jax Jordan shot an 85.
Abe Girten shot an 82.
Maxon O’Daniel will advance to Sectionals, he finished tied for 4th overall with a 75.
O’Daniel will travel to Effingham Country Club next Monday for the IHSA 1A Sectionals.
The Carmi-White County Girls Tennis team hosted Carterville at Bradshaw Park yesterday for Senior Night, and the Lady Bulldogs fell by a final of 7-2.
The teams of Natalie Goemaat & Aly Albright and Ava Ballard & Emily Hollingsworth won their doubles matches.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Benton on Monday.
The Carmi-White County Cross Country team will travel to Robinson this afternoon.
The Carmi-White County Volleyball team will host Flora tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs are 25-2 on the year and 4-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. Fans can watch tonight’s match on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
