Best of luck to the NCOE Fighting Cardinals Volleyball team as they will take on Stockton in the IHSA Class 1A State Semifinals this morning on the campus of Illinois State University. This is NCOE’s 4th trip to the State Finals, and they look to make it to the State Championship match for the first time with a win today. If NCOE wins today they will face either Tremont or Cissna Park in the State Championship Match tomorrow. If NCOE loses today they will play for 3rd Place tomorrow.
There is only one area high school football team that is still alive in the IHSA Football Playoffs, the Flora Wolves. Flora will travel to Maroa-Forsyth tomorrow for the Quarterfinal Round of the 2A Playoffs. If Flora wins tomorrow they will face either Westville or Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond in the Semifinals next weekend.
