The Carmi-White County Volleyball team fell to Bloomington Central Catholic last night in the IHSA 2A Super Sectional in two sets; 25-19 & 25-21.
The Lady Bulldogs have their season come to an end with a final record of 37 wins and 3 losses. Those 37 wins are tied for the most wins in a single season in CWCHS history.
The legendary careers of Jaya Smith, Addi Elliott, Caroline Simmons, Audrey Taylor, and Torrie Rider come to an end. Those five seniors led CWCHS to a 107-15 record over four years which included 2 Black Diamond Conference Championships, 3 Regional Championships, 3 Sectional Championships, a 4th Place Finish in the 2023 IHSA State Finals, 3-Straight Benton Tournament Championships, and the three winningest seasons in CWCHS history. Congratulations to those five ladies on great careers, and congratulations to Coach Chris Lucas and the Lady Bulldogs on an unbelievable season.
Congratulations to the NCOE Fighting Cardinals Volleyball team, they defeated Okawville in two sets in the 1A Super Sectional at Wayne City; 25-10 & 31-29. NCOE will face Stockton in the Class 1A State Semifinals on Friday at 9 AM. If NCOE wins, they’ll advance to the 1A State Championship match on Saturday.
