The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team fell to Harrisburg last night in the CWCIT by a final score of 52-30.
The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 12 in the first half, but they were able to cut it down to 2 late in the second quarter before Harrisburg took a 5-point lead at the half.
Harrisburg outscored Carmi 29-12 in the 2nd half to pull away with the 52-30 win.
The Bulldogs fall to 7-10 on the year and 0-2 in the CWCIT. They will have tonight and tomorrow off before battling Fairfield on Friday Night at 7 PM. Carmi will then wrap up the tournament against Mt. Vernon on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will play their first home game of 2025 tonight as they host Edwards County for a conference battle at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs come into tonight’s game with an 11-6 record and 5-0 BDC record, meanwhile Edwards County is 13-3 on the year and 4-1 in the Black Diamond.
Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Varsity will begin around 7:20 PM.
The Carmi-White County Wrestling team will travel to Centralia tonight. The Bulldogs wrestlers hosted a JV and Varsity tournament this past weekend at Washington School. For the full results from this weekend’s tournaments, visit the local sports tab on WRUL.com.
