The Carmi-White County Boys & Girls Golf teams both played their first home matches of the season yesterday.
The Bulldogs took on NCOE and Edwards County, and the Bulldogs finished in 3rd Place with a team score of 180.
Cayden Holloman placed 2nd overall, shooting a 38.
Banks Moore placed 9th overall, shooting a 46.
Kyson Clark shot a 47.
Alex Hale shot a 49.
Rowdy Hall shot a 53.
Jude Pollard shot a 57.
For NCOE,
Kallen Sutton placed 4th overall, shooting a 40.
Mason Hobbs placed 5th overall, shooting a 43.
Jack Melton, Mason Ray, and Briar Ridge all tied for 6th Place, shooting a 45.
Cole Kingston shot a 51.
The Lady Bulldogs took on Massac County and NCOE, where they finished in 2nd Place with a team score of 209.
Katelyn Davis finished 5th overall, shooting a 48.
Bri Hale finished 6th overall, shooting a 50.
Makenlee Holloman finished 9th overall, shooting a 55.
Eva Grogan finished 10th overall, shooting a 56.
Sophia McCully shot a 62.
Emma Legg shot a 67.
For NCOE,
Macle McArthy and Marlee Fuqua both shot a 65.
Annie Vanwinkle shot a 70.
Both CWCHS Golf Teams will travel to Harrisburg on Thursday.
The Carmi-White County Junior High Baseball and Softball teams both traveled to Olney yesterday.
The Lady Bullpups came away with a 13-1 win.
Alyss Courson, Auna Goff, Mollie Burnett, Emma Ricketts, Sophia Jamison, Kai Wiggins, Aniyah Huff, Graecelyn O’Neil, and Cabella Emery all recorded base hits in the win.
Emery picked up the win in the circle, pitching all 4 innings and allowing just 1 run on 4 hits with 9 strikeouts.
The Lady Bullpups improve their record to 3-3 on the season.
The Bullpups fell to Olney in extra innings by a final score of 2-1.
Jerrick Rager picked up the lone base hit on the day for the Bullpups, he also pitched six scoreless innings while striking out 12 batters and only giving up one base hit.
The Bullpups fall to 1-2 on the year.
Both junior high baseball and softball will host Eldorado this afternoon.
