Landscape Site Open
The City of Carmi Landscape Waste Site, what we used to call the compost site will open for the season beginning Saturday, April 6.
The site will be open from 8 in the morning until noon.
Carmi Mayor Jeff Pollard announced at the Tuesday city council meeting, the city will begin charging $25 a month for persons wanting a key to the site for extended time.
The site name was changed recently at a City Council meeting as it’s not an actual compost site. The Landscape waste site is for yard waste only, such as limbs, grass clippings etc. It is not a dump site, and should only be used for landscape waste
