Judge Stanley Retiring
Associate Judge Mark Stanley of Carmi has announced that he will retire early next month.
According to a press release sent out by the Second Judicial Circuit in Mt. Vernon Tuesday, Stanley will retire effective July 2.
The judge has served as an Associate Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit of Illinois since August 2006. During his tenure as Associate Judge, Stanley presided over all types of cases in each of the 12 counties of the Second Circuit.
Chief Judge Tom Tedeschi says Stanley’s service to the residents of the Second Judicial Circuit has been outstanding and is honored to have served on the bench with him. Tedeschi congratulates Stanley on his retirement, however, his legal expertise and dedication to the position of Associate Judge will be sorely missed.
