WROY/WRUL Sports is just about four games away from wrapping up our high school baseball and softball broadcast season.
Plans are to broadcast Tuesday’s baseball game against Johnston City. That game will be carried on WRUL 97.3 FM. Jason Craig and Chris Lucas will be on the air around 4:15 with the pre-game show prior to the 4:30 game time.
Thursday, the 25, WRUL 97.3 will carry the softball game as the Lady Bulldogs take on Johnston City. That is the last regularly scheduled softball broadcast of the season.
There are actually close to ten games left for the Ladies in regular season play including West Frankfort, Robinson, Mt. caramel, Edwards County, Carbondale, Mt. Vernon and Flora. The IHSA Softball regionals start May 14.
Saturday, May 4 will be the last regular season baseball game to be broadcast as the Dogs take on DuQuion at 10 that morning.
The boys baseball regionals start Monday May 13. The baseball team will be playing Johnston City, Mt. Vernon, Edwards County, Grayville, DuQuion, Herrin and Crab Orchard prior to the season’s close.
