Harrisburg Police Arrest Man for Aggravated Battery of a Child

Harrisburg Police have arrested a Harrisburg man saying he shook his 3 month old son.  32 year old Brandon Ford is charged with aggravated battery of a child.  The child is currently being treated at a St. Louis children’s hospital for severe neurological damage.  Last week, the 3 month old was taken to the emergency room at Harrisburg Medical Center by his mother and Ford after authorities say the baby began having seizures.  Ford told hospital workers that the child had rolled off the couch.  His grandparents knew that was a lie.  They say the baby, born in March, isn’t rolling over on his own yet.  The medical team at Cardinal Glennon determined his injuries had been sustained from being shaken.  Ford remains behind bars at the Saline County Detention Center on $15,000 cash bond.  The family, meanwhile is selling T-shirts with the slogan “#BrysonStrong” via facebook and says all proceeds will help offset what are sure to be major expenses.
