Hamilton/Wayne County Relay for Life
It’s Relay for Life season and the Hamilton and Wayne County Relay for Life is coming up this weekend.
The Relay will take place from 4 until 9 Saturday evening at the Hamilton County High School.
Gil Rodriquez will dee jay the event, with actually gets underway at 3 with survivor registration. At 3:55, the Flag will be presented along with the National Anthem. The 4 o’clock opening ceremony will include an opening prayer, the survivor lap, the caregiver lap and then team laps.
There will be a Dr. Seuss photo booth open throughout the evening for kids, adults and team photos.
Debbie Knight will provide entertainment at 4:30. There will be a Dr. Seuss minute to win it at 5:15. Team activity at 5:30 will be Hungry Hungry Hippos.
The Kearney Brothers will be on stage at 6, followed by Clay Rapp at 7. There will be another Dr. Seuss minute to win it at 7:45.
Snake Lane Revue will take the stage at 8 Saturday night.
Raffles winners will be announce at 8:30.
The Luminaria ceremony will be held at 9 with the closing ceremony to begin around 9:30 Saturday night.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event, either staying for the evening or coming out for portions of the entertainment.
This year’s theme is Cancer; Not Here, Not There, Not Anywhere….a subtle tribute to Dr. Seuss.
