The Grayville City Council held a special meeting at 10am on Monday and quickly moved through a short agenda.
The bid for the project on IL Highway 1 and the Stephenson Street extension was unanimously awarded to Sierra Bravo. The Sesser based company submitted a figure of $1,284, 764.29, which was the low bid, coming in almost $470,000 under the estimated cost of the project.
The Council also approved by unanimous vote the recommendation by the zoning board to allow Campbell resources to drill a well on the Hocking lease, and approved a resolution to apply to use motor fuel tax monies to build a retaining wall with drainage at the site of the proposed downtown park.
The Council will meet for its first regular meeting in June on Monday, June 13 at 7pm.
