FMH to host free Get-Up-And-Go Christmas scavenger hunt for children

On December 21st from 3pm-6pm, Fairfield Memorial Hospital will be hosting a FREE Get-Up-And-Go Christmas Scavenger Hunt for Children at the hospital.

The Get-Up-And-Go Christmas Scavenger Hunt is open to children of all ages. Those attending this event should enter thru FMH’s main entrance to register. Passports will be given to each attendee with directions on what areas of the hospital campus to visit in order to get their passports stamped. Once the child’s passport is full, they will be able to go to the Hospital cafeteria to enjoy a healthy snack and to receive a special gift from Santa.

Participants who utilize one of the three main stairwells in the hospital during the Christmas Scavenger Hunt will also receive a prize in the stairwell as a reward for getting more exercise by using the stairs instead of the elevator. Pre-registration is not required to attend this event and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

“We are very excited to be offering a fun Christmas activity for the children of our community that not only focuses on exercise and nutrition, but also on having fun while being active during the holidays. This event fully aligns with Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s mission to positively influence the health of those we serve. We hope you will join us to see how easy it is to get up and go in order to increase physical activity and to see how appealing and nutritious healthy foods can be,” stated Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D., FMH CEO.
