FMH CEO Katherine Bunting-Williams, Recognized
Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D., Fairfield Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer, was recently recognized by Becker’s as one of the 60 Rural Hospital CEO’s to Know in 2019 for the 8th year in a row. CEO’s featured on this list have overcome significant challenges operating rural community and critical access hospitals to lead sustainable and thriving organizations. Many CEO’s have served their institutions for decades, recruiting physicians, expanding services and implementing technology platforms to ensure the best care possible for their communities. The CEO’s featured on the list lead hospitals to consistently be recognized by the National Rural Health Association, American Hospital Association and HIMSS as top institutions. Dr. Bunting-Williams has been FMH CEO for the past 21 years.
Additionally, Dr. Bunting-Williams, PhD was a speaker at the 10th Annual Becker’s Hospital Review meeting in Chicago, Illinois in April. There were more than 3,000 attendees from Hospitals and Health Systems across the Nation at the annual Becker’s meeting. Dr. Bunting-Williams was a presenter discussing the Top Challenges that Rural Facilities Face and What to Do About Them.
