Come aboard “Noah’s Artsy Ark” as it sets sail Tuesday, July 5 through Saturday, July 9. First Christian Church of Carmi invites area 
Kindergarteners through 8th graders to participate in a different style of Vacation Bible School program. FCC is hosting an Art Camp in which students can choose to focus on cooking, music, art, or drama.
Each night will begin at 6 pm with some worship and a visit from Noah and his family. Then the students will split off into their focus groups in order to prepare a 20 minute musical/drama presentation which will be performed on Saturday evening. The drama students will learn lines and staging to act on Saturday. The music students will learn songs and to play instruments for the performance. Students who might be stage shy can choose to focus on art and design the set and props for the Saturday evening performance. Those who choose cooking will be making snacks for the week and contribute to a taco bar and desserts to be served on Saturday evening after the performance.
The Art Camp runs from 6-8 pm beginning Tuesday, July 5 and concludes with the drama/musical presentation at 6 pm on Saturday, July 9. Family and friends of the VBS participants, as well as all community members, are invited to the Saturday evening performance and dinner at First Christian Church, 504 Bohleber Dr., Carmi.
