For the 60th year, everything is coming up roses as the Carmi community prepares for the annual One Niter scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd. Grace Sinclair dropped by Kiwanis Thursday along with her two senior student directors Courtney Snow and Kyler Fisher. This being a special anniversary, current students will join with alumni for skits, music, and those traditional high kicks.
With it being the diamond anniversary of the One Niter, we have alumni members of Carmi from the class of 1972, 1986, 1987, 2003, 2006, 2017, 2018, 2019, just to name a few of those class members participating. We are lucky enough to have Mr. Croghan participating again. So if you come out this weekend, we will be celebrating him and the success, effort, love, passion that he has put into music and the community of Carmi for the past 60 years. So we’d really appreciate you coming out to support not only current and past talent, but also to celebrate what Mr. Croghan has brought to the town.
The shows are set to start at 7pm. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students, children age 5 and under get in free. This year’s emcees are Eliana Kiser and Neveah Hampton though Sinclair says there may be some surprises as well.
There are some special fillers and emcee guests who kind of make their way around the stage to keep everybody entertained…they might even be a relative of mine.
Kickers this year include Maeve Atteberry, Courtney Snow, Andi Garner, Reagan Whitley, Emily Glaser, Makyla Seibers, Ellie King, and Kenley Kays.
