On Wednesday, August 13th Edwards and White County SWCDs will host a cover crop and soil health field day. Highlighted activities for the day will include a soil pit dug by Dwayne Roser, rainfall simulator demonstration and USDA program updates by NRCS, a carbon to nitrogen discussion from Torey Colburn of American Farmland Trust, a farmer panel, and an agricultural drone demonstration.
The day will start at 9 am at Dwayne’s field, 583 County Road 1875 N, Enfield, IL, and will run to noon with lunch, provided by Wabash Valley Farm Service, to follow. Cobblers and ice cream will be served. Drawings will be conducted for prizes.
