A traffic stop Friday morning by Carmi Police resulted in a Carmi woman being arrested on a Lawrence County warrant.
Carmi officers pulled over a car at 2:14 am at the intersection of 2nd and Stewart Streets after disobeying a stop sign. The backseat passenger, 30 year old Jackie Oberlender, was found to be wanted on a failure to appear warrant for driving while license suspended. Oberlender was transported to the White County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of a $150 bond.
