Some of children’s favorite animals will be represented in Southeastern Illinois College’s Deaton Gymnasium on April 18, from 4-6 p.m. for this year’s farm themed Kids’ Fair. This fun day for the family boasts free food, drinks, games and prizes.

This free event, made possible through a community partnership with Egyptian Health Department, Harrisburg Medical Center, Wabash Area Development Inc (WADI) Head Start, Harrisburg District Library, is for children ages 0-5th grade. Registration is in B/C lobby with games and information in Deaton Gym.
Community vendors representing 25-30 public agencies, civic organizations and local businesses will provide fun activities, games and prizes for the children. There will be a life-sized “down on the farm” bear for photo ops from Egyptian Health Department and cameras or cell phones are encouraged. This fair is designed to help promote reading, education, health, nutrition and safety in a fun manner.
Again this year there will be drawings provided by some of our vendors and local businesses. Included are Lego prizes and gift certificates amongst others.
Free food will be served in the SIC Harry L. Crisp Student Center cafeteria provided by WADI, Harrisburg Medical Center, Pepsi Mid-America and SIC.
