Following three suspicious woods and field fires in the past several days, the Carmi Police Department and White County Sheriff’s Department are offering a Crime Stoppers reward of $250 for information about the cause of the fires.
The Carmi Fire Department has responded to the blazes that have occurred just off Centerville Road and Colony West that have caused some significant damage. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Carmi Police Department at 618-382-4633 or the Sheriff’s Department at 618-382-5321. If you wish to remain anonymous, tips may be phoned to the Crime Stoppers Line at 1-800-637-3577. The $250 reward will be awarded for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.
