Counterfeit Money Reported in Carmi
Police in Carmi say they have become aware of a couple of instances lately of counterfeit bills being passed at local banks and businesses.
According to a post on the Carmi Police Facebook page, both were $20 bills being passed.
Police continue to investigate these events. Businesses are urged to use their counterfeit marker pens and look closely at all bills being passed.
Other towns in this area have seen an increase in these bills being passed as well.
