The City of Carmi will be smoking sanitary sewer lines in the area of Fairgrounds Road west to Industrial Drive, and from Route 1 to Route 14 to West Main Street and West Oak Street.
The process will begin on Monday, February 6th and should take one to two weeks, weather permitting according to City Supervisor Mike Buckman.
Residents are reminded that the smoke is harmless, but if you should see smoke in basements or coming up from the ground, let a city worker know or call the City office at 382-8118.
