The City of Carmi will smoke sanitary sewer lines between First & Fifth
Street & Stewart & Shipley Street, beginning Tuesday, Oct 18 – 21. Residents
may see smoke coming from the ground or in basements. it is harmless. if
this occurs, let a City worker know or call the Main Office at 618-382-5555.
The Purpose is to find breaks in sewer lines.
