City of Carmi Light and Water Office Public Notice: Hiring

The City of Carmi / Carmi Light and Water is accepting applications for the position of Office Clerk in Light & Water Administration.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Essential functions include computer operations, customer service, typing, filing, utility billing and calculating meter readings and adjustments.  Applicants should be able to potentially fill in for the supervisor in their absence and be willing to accept additional job duties when necessary.

Qualifications include:  computer knowledge, basic math skills, good typing skills, ability to operate common office equipment, good telephone and written communication skills, experience in dealing with the public.

Applicants shall fill out an application, available at cityofcarmi.org/application, and return to the City of Carmi, 225 E Main Street, Carmi, IL 62821.  Applications should be received no later than 3pm on February 10, 2024.
