Chamber Looking for Executive Director

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce is once again looking for an executive director, a part time position, working 20 to 25 hours a week.

The executive director serves the board of directors and is responsible for the day to day administrative and operational functions of the Chamber office.

Responsibilities include maintaining and increasing membership, keeping on top of the chamber’s finances, planning and facilitating events, such as White County Christmas, the Fourth of July fireworks and the annual Golf tournament.  Plus the director is responsible for the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner held each October.

A complete job description is available at cityofcarmi.org/the-chamber. A preferred associates degree or higher is needed and the applicant should have knowledge of Microsoft office and Quickbooks. Adminstration, event planning and coordination skills are needed.
