Carmi Woman Busted on Meth Charges
Diane Strong, 65, 1152 County Road 700 East was busted on meth charges following a traffic stop by Carmi Police Sunday evening.
Strong was stopped at Cherry and Jessup Street around 5:30 after authorities noted she was a revoked driver.
A check of Strong’s belongings, including her purse revealed a meth pipe, one gram of cannabis and five baggies of methamphetamine ranging from .16 grams to .74 grams.
Strong was cited for driving on a revoked license and possession of cannabis. She is also facing charges for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, plus prohibited use and possession of meth with the intent to deliver.
Strong remained in custody early Monday morning.
