Carmi Power Outage Planned
Carmi residents are advised there will be a scheduled power outage beginning around 8 this morning.
The outage will include the 1300 block of Oak Street, the west block of Gilpin Street and all of Woodlawn Avenue, plus the east side of Lexington Avenue.
Folks living on Oak and Gilpin Streets can expect at least a two hour outage. Residents of Lexington and Woodlawn can expect four to five hours of outage.
City crews will be changing out a utility pole which has created the need to shut off power to complete the work.
A spokesman for the city apologized for any inconvenience and added power will be restored as quickly as possible.
