Carmi Police took three damage reports last week. Thursday night, Levi Newman of Carmi reported that his car was spray painted while in the Walmart parking lot, and Friday morning Gary Nichols reported that the back door and wall of 208 N Church Street had been spray painted. Also on Friday morning, Bobby Morrill reported his car had been keyed at Walmart, but a check of surveillance footage showed that the damage happened somewhere else.
Friday afternoon, Carmi Police arrested 39 year old Kent Harper of Fairfield for driving on a revoked license. Harper was stopped after leaving the White County Jail at 2:45 pm and was released from custody after posting a $150 bond.
