The Carmi Police Department arrested 25 year old Shela M Brewster of Carmi at her residence on Tuesday night on a charge of theft.
Officers were told by Brewster’s landlord that she had run an extension cord to one of his outlets after the electricity had been cut off in Brewster’s apartment on Renshaw Avenue. Brewster was taken into custody at 6:47pm and transported to the White County Jail, where she was released after posting a $150 bond.
