Carmi Police Investigate a Stolen Bicycle and Make a Warrant Arrest Tuesday

Gregory Burnett reported to Carmi Police, Tuesday afternoon, someone had stolen his son’s black Mongoose Brawler 20” bike sometime between Friday and Sunday. Burnett told Officers his son rode the bike to 1407 James Avenue and left the bike there. When they went back Sunday to get the bike they found it had been stolen.

 

25 year old Katelyn E.R. Welch of Carmi reported to Carmi Police, Tuesday night, she had been involved in a single vehicle accident on Sunday which she had not previously reported. She was issued a citation for Failure to Report an Accident to Police Authority. Welch was found to have an outstanding White County Warrant for her arrest for Violation of an Order of Protection. She was arrested on the warrant and transported to the White County Jail where she bonded out on $750 cash plus a $20 booking fee.

    Let’s see if she gets sentenced to 1yrs prison and 4 yrs parole that’s what happened to me on my 1st time violating order of protection and costed me so much in my life
