The Carmi Police Department made a pair of arrests following a call about a domestic battery on Wednesday night.
38 year old Jedediah Burnett and 25 year old Emily Madden were both taken into custody just after 8pm on charges of domestic battery at their residence on 5th Street. Burnett was also charged with a count of criminal damage to property.
Both Burnett and Madden were transported to the White County Jail and are being held pending court hearings.
