Carmi Police Arrest Ten Friday after Executing Search Warrants

We now know more about the influx of inmates at the White County Jail on Friday.  Officers with the Carmi Police Department issued three separate search warrants which resulted in the arrest of ten individuals.  More than 430 grams of methamphetamine, numerous drug related smoking devices, used hypodermic syringes, tourniquets, controlled substances, illegal amounts of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and numerous electronic devices were seized between the three locations.

 

At 105 Fairview Drive, Carmi Police arrested 29-year-old James Chrstian Stevens, 41-year-old Amber Walkenbach, 41-year-old Nathan Egbert, and 50-year-old Brian Brock.

At 205 Railroad Avenue, officers placed 48-year-old Bobby Morrill and 44-year-old Crystal Boaz under arrest.

At 708 7th Street, officers placed another 4 individuals under arrest including 37-year-old Oscar Bartlett, 68-year-old Robert Bowles, 65-year-old Charles Newman, and 45-year-old Tabitha Steele.

All are being housed in the jail, save for Steele who was ordered released on a recognizance bond by the states attorney.
