Carmi Police arrest juveniles after they crash stolen car Sunday

Carmi Police arrested 25 year old Michael Burch of Carmi Friday morning on a White County warrant for residential burglary.  Burch was found hiding in a closet in a residence on 4th Street, and was taken into custody at 8:53 am.  He is being held at the White County Jail on a $7500 bond.

Carmi officers took a report of stolen medication on Saturday.  Herbert Bell reported that pills had been stolen from his residence on Olive Street.   Officers also took reports of two stolen wallets over the weekend.  Daniel Burney reported on Friday that his wallet was missing from his 1st Street residence, while on Sunday Sarah Wilkinson reported her wallet missing from her 2nd Street residence.

On Saturday, Mary Johnson of Crossville reported to Carmi Police that she had left her cell phone in a bathroom at Walmart, and when she went to retrieve it, it had been stolen.

Sunday morning, Carmi Police arrested three juveniles for curfew violations after they stole a vehicle, and crashed it.  Four boys, aged 9 through 12 were questioned in relation to the incident.  They have also been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal damage to property.
