Carmi Police arrested 29 year old Jason Rockett of Carmi following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon. Rockett was pulled over on 10th Street at 1:13 pm and charged with driving on a suspended license. Rockett posted a $150 bond at the scene and was released.
Wednesday night, Carmi officers arrested 28 year old Tiffany Downs of Grayville and 28 year old Ricky Rush of Carmi following a traffic stop on Shipley Street. Downs was wanted on a failure to appear warrant for criminal damage to property and was taken into custody at 7:49 pm. She was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rush was initially charged with driving without a valid license, and subsequently charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to the White County Jail. Downs is being held on a combined bond amount of $650, while Rush is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
