The Carmi Police Department took a damaged vehicle report at Lincoln Attendance Center Tuesday afternoon. Michelle Niehaus reported that sometime between 12:45 pm and 3 pm someone broke out the rear passenger side window of her SUV while it was parked at the school.
24 year old Joshua Whitehead of Carmi was arrested by Carmi officers on Marguerite Street just after 5 pm Tuesday on warrants from White and Madison Counties. Whitehead was wanted in White County on a charge of Escape-Failure to Appear and a Failure to Appear on a charge of Theft from Madison County. Whitehead was transported to the White County Jail and is being held on a combined bond amount of $3975.
