Monday afternoon, 21 year old Alexander Effinger of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police at McDonalds on charges of aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. Effinger was taken into custody at 2:48 pm and transported to the White County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
At 3:55 pm, Carmi Police responded to a domestic violence call at 311 Fackney Street and arrested a 15 year old male on a charge of domestic battery. Also at the scene, a 16 year old male was cited for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
