20-year-old Austin Carlson is behind bars at the White County Jail following his arrest Wednesday evening. Carmi Police pulled Carlson over near Janson Auto at 9:45pm. Carlson had a Failure to Appear warrant related to a Traffic Conviction in September of 2024. In that case, the court withheld judgement in favor of supervision for Driving on a Suspended License while charges of Exceeding the Speed Limit in a School Zone and Not Wearing a Seat Belt were dismissed. Carlson was also fined to the tune of $863.50. Online court records indicate he hasn’t made a payment, and the due date was Monday.
