Beck Street Carmi Woman Jailed on Numerous Charges Monday Afternoon

A former Harrisburg resident, 31 year old Danelle Carter now of Beck Street in Carmi is behind bars following her arrest Monday afternoon.  Around a quarter before 3pm Monday, Carmi Police stopped Carter near her residence.  The officer found her driving with a suspended license.

During a search of the backpack she was carrying, officers found a set of digital scales, a bag with a half a gram of methamphetamine, two used syringes, a spoon with residue and matted cotton balls consistent with shooting up illegal drugs, according to the arrest report.  Additionally, officers found cannabis pipes and .22 caliber ammunition in the vehicle.

Carter is now facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, unlawful use of property, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.  That’s in addition to her initial charge of driving while license suspended.

Bond has been set at $5,000 cash.  She remains jailed at the White County Jail.
