911 Board Report
White County 911 Director Julie Irwin reported on last week’s board meeting, pointing out that Gerald York submitted his resignation in April.
The May meeting recognized York had been working with the 911 system since before the 911 board was even established. He recommended Tom Harbour, Enfield mayor assume his seat on the board, which was approved.
Irwin also reported Don Puckett’s appointment to the board was renewed for a four year term.
Irwin reported 1318 PSAP calls in March with 1286 in April. There were a total of 385 911 calls in March and 368 in April. Non-911 calls totaled 933 in march and 918 in April.
Prior to the meeting adjournment ,York was presented with an award noting his many years of service. It was reported he had been 25 years since his original appointment; 1994 to 2019.
