Oct. 19 – Check in at 9 a.m., Tee off at 10 a.m. – 8th Annual SIC Falcon Baseball Team Golf Scramble at Shawnee Hills Country Club. Hole Sponsorships and 4-Person Teams are available. Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. – Harrisburg High School presents “Little Women” in the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Contact HHS for tickets: [email protected] or 618-253-7637, ext. 2169.

Oct. 21 – Spring Semester Registration begins at SIC. Register for classes at www.my.sic.edu/ics or email an advisor at [email protected]. Textbook rentals are free, exclusions apply. Classes begin January 13.

Oct. 22 – 9-11 a.m. – SIC will host the Five-County Illinois Regional College Fair in the Joseph C. Deaton Gym. This free event is open to area high schools and SIC students. Students are highly encouraged to attend to meet with representatives and discuss undergrad and transfer programs. Nearly 40 universities are expected to attend. Oct. 22 – 6:30 p.m. – The SIC Falcons Volleyball team takes on Vincennes University in the Joseph C. Deaton Gym.

Oct. 24 – 10 a.m.-1 p.m. – A representative from Eastern Illinois University will be on the Harrisburg campus in the A/B lobby.

Oct. 24 – SIC students and employees are encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. A picture will be taken in the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center Lobby at noon.

Oct. 29 – 6 p.m. –The SIC Board of Trustees meeting will be held in the Rodney J. Brenner Board Room.

Nov. 2 – 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Nov. 3 – 10 a.m.-4 p.m. – SIC hosts the 46th annual Heritage Festival at our Harrisburg campus. Over 75 vendors selling arts, crafts, food, and more. Admission is a $1.00 donation to Freddie’s Food Pantry. Parking is free and handicapped parking is available. Nov. 5 – SIC will be closed for Election Day.

Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. – SIC will welcome and honor local veterans at the annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Lobby. All veterans, students, employees, and community members are invited to attend the ceremony. Some ceremonial events include the Color Guard from Eldorado VFW Post 3479, the laying of the wreath by the Michael Hillegas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and musical performances. Light refreshments will be served.
