Sponsors for the 2026 Kiwanis Corn Day
The last Kiwanis meeting before the highly anticipated Corn Days celebration focused on the businesses and individuals who sponsor the event.
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic (which canceled the 2020 Corn Day), this will be Carmi’s 97th Corn Day. Dr. Clint Taylor presented the sponsor recognition list in place of sponsorship committee head Nancy J. Winter and shared that 87 sponsors contributed a total of $56,450 this year. Taylor thanked Winter, along with Katelyne Wolff, Megan Newman, and the staff at Nancy J. Winter CPA, for helping all year with getting sponsors.
A special addition this year is an auction of a 1937 T Bucket donated by Troy Nelson of Nelson Pipe and Supply. The auction will go until three weeks after Corn Day. Be sure to check it out this weekend.
Twelve businesses participated in the Corporate sponsorships; those were $2,000 donations. Campbell Farms, City of Carmi, Dillman Services, First Bank, George Mitchell Drilling Co., Hucks Convenience Stores, Nancy J. Winter CPA, Nelson Pipe & Supply, Nutrien, People’s National Bank, Shepard Insurance, and WROY/WRUL.
$1,000 sponsorships (Platinum); 11 businesses participated.
