The White County court saw only two plea deals today (Monday).
Up first was 27-year-old Triston Phillips, who was facing four charges stemming from his incident in January of this year.
Phillips agreed to a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to only one count: Resisting a Peace Officer. He will be placed on two years’ conditional discharge and pay a fine; the other three charges were dismissed. Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer, Criminal Damage to Property, and Disorderly Conduct were dropped.
Lastly, Mill Shoals resident Luke Williams will be serving two years of conditional discharge, 240 hours of public service, paying $1,000 in fines, spending two days in jail, and completing a DUI evaluation and counseling for his Driving Under the Influence charge.
As part of his plea deal, three charges were dismissed: Transportation og Alcohol, Improper Traffic Lane Usage, and DUI with a BAC over .08.
